Tasks, Cognitive Processes and Individual Differences in Second Language Acquisition

Lee will discuss the underexplored pedagogical potential of input-based
tasks in instructed second language research. In this presentation, she will
describe four studies aimed at exploring input-based tasks in different
learning contexts. All four studies employ a variety of elicitation techniques
including tests of linguistic knowledge, eye-tracking, keystroke-logging
and/or verbal protocols. By offering the details of each study, Lee’s
presentation will outline directions for future research on input-based tasks.
