Research Interests: speech perception, particularly Spanish-accented English and Mayan-accented Spanish, and the effects of accented speech on healthcare outcomes.
Awards: Recipient of the UW-Madison Graduate School Fellowship 2022-2023.
Other info about Frida: Frida completed her bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and French at the University of Texas at Austin. Frida enjoys doing projects in a Mexican folk art popotillo, and other artistic endeavors. When Frida is not at school, she is at Worker Justice Wisconsin helping to organize the immigrant working class in Madison.
