A new career and professionalization course aimed at undergraduates with a background in language study is launching this Fall. African 275: Lead with Language – Putting Language Skills to Work is a 1-credit course which will help students learn about some common career paths of language majors, unique skills and strengths that language majors bring to the workplace, and how to showcase these skills on resumes and cover letters.
The course is aimed at language majors, but should be appropriate for many linguistics majors too, who share many of the same transferable skills.
