Online language learning materials in Irish Gaelic
Seeking one student hourly worker to assist in creation of an online course in Irish Language Phonics and Pronunciation (Fónaic agus Foghraíocht na Gaeilge). The project is a partnership with the Irish language immersion school Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, Donegal, who is providing audio recordings. The student will assist in processing audio files in Audacity, formatting the online Moodle course, and connecting audio files to the lessons.
Desired skills include high attention to detail, strong overall computer literacy, and ability to complete tasks reliably and independently. Training will be provided in Audacity and Moodle software. Some prior familiarity with the Irish language is helpful but not required.
When: Spring semester 2024, beginning February
Salary: $15/hour, approximately 2-3 hours per week (total of 33 hours for the semester)
Where: Primarily remote (students will need to work on their own computer)
