A little bit more about the job and the lab:
The Sign Language Lab has several projects underway that involve video coding and analysis of sign language data from Guatemala and the United States. The position will be half time with flexible hours, and will be based in the lab space in Van Hise with some options for remote work. The tasks will vary, but will include: video coding in Elan, training and supervising undergraduate research assistants, developing ideas for new studies, and recruiting and running participants (depending on the design of new studies). Training will be provided for Elan and video coding, prior experience working in a linguistics or psychology lab is preferred as well as any experience or skills with American Sign Language and working with the Deaf community.
