Richard K. Larson received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from UW-Madison in 1983. Throughout his career he has made countless significant contributions to the fields of theoretical syntax and semantics. He held academic positions at the University of Pennsylvania and MIT, and since 1989 has been on the faculty in the Linguistics Department at Stony Brook University in New York.
