18th Annual Workshop in General Linguistics (WiGL 18)
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Linguistics Student Organization (LSO) invites submissions for papers to be presented at the 18th Annual Workshop in General Linguistics (WiGL 18), to be held in-person Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, 2024 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The keynote speakers for the workshop are professors Julia Goetze and Robert Hawkins.
WiGL is a conference run by students for students and is a forum for all students from UW-Madison and other institutions to present and share their research. We invite abstracts from undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students for 30-minute presentations (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions) and posters on any linguistics-related topic.
Abstracts should be at most 500 words, not including data, graphics, or references, and should not include the author’s name or affiliation. Please submit abstracts in pdf format. Abstracts will be accepted until 27 January 2024 at 11:59PM CST, and decisions will be announced in mid February. Please submit abstracts via this Google Form:
