The Workshop in General Lingusitics (WiGL) is a friendly venue for undergraduate and graduate student researchers to present their projects to the campus community. WiGL is organized by the UW-Madison Language Sciences Linguistics Student Organization. WiGL 19 will take place in person on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Friday and Saturday, and online on Sunday. In person events will be held in  6191 Helen C. White Hall. We will have about thirty student presenters with topics covering a wide range of subfields including phonology, phonetics, language acquisition, pragmatics, syntax, and more! Our faculty keynote speaker is UW-Madison Language Sciences professor Kelly Wright. There is no fee to register or attend, but advanced registration is appreciated as it helps the organizers plan for catering and supplies.
