We had a large number of Linguistics majors honored with an invitation to join the UW-Madison chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society this year! This round of nominees included:

Phi Beta Kappa is a national honor society in the Liberal Arts and Sciences that has local chapters in many US Universities. UW-Madison usually inducts about 15o undergraduates per year to our local chapter. Invitations are based on high standards of scholarly excellence, as well as evidence of both breadth and depth in their studies. Not surprisingly, Linguistics majors continue to be strongly represented in this prestigious group!
