Macaulay receives 2019 Mentor Award

The accolades keep (deservedly) raining in for Professor Macaulay this year! The Linguistic Society of America just announced their slate of awards for this year, and Monica is the first recipient of the LSA’s new Mentor Award.

This award recognizes outstanding commitment to mentoring fellow linguists. Monica was recognized by the society for valuable contributions to mentoring, including her work in establishing WILMA (Women in Linguistics Mentoring Alliance), and authoring the book Surviving Linguistics: A Guide for Graduate Students.

There will be a special ceremony honoring award recipients at the LSA’s annual meeting in January, 2020. Read more and see the full list of LSA award recipients for this year at the LSA website.
